Jennifer Lawrence says that filming her very first scene in ‘Don't Look Up' was the worst day of her life.
In that specific scene, her character, Kate Dibiaski, sings Wu Tang’s 'Ain’t Nuthing ta F’ Wit' while eating toast and it made her incredibly uncomfortable when shooting. At a press conference leading up to the release of the movie she stated:
Because something happened with COVID, that ended up being my very first scene. It was horrifying, because I’m in this huge hanger, and it’s so quiet. And I don’t know anybody, and I had to rap Wu-Tang Clan. It was just horrendous. And then what’s in the movie is like, five seconds. I really wish I had known that.
And filming the rest of the movie wasn't a cakewalk either because she lost a veneer while filming and couldn't fix it before the end of the shoot. She told the Associated Press:
Well, I lost a tooth pretty early in the filming. And I couldn’t go to the dentist until the end of the movie, so I had to film most of the movie toothless. That was my personal challenge.
And to make matters worse she was injured while filming a scene with a controlled explosion that ended up throwing shattered glass into her eye. Paparazzi managed to take pictures of the incident:
This movie was one hell of a wild ride for her.
